16-year-old boy in car incident outside HMS Collingwood

A 16-year-old boy was injured in a collision with a car on Wednesday, December 2nd outside HMS Collingwood in Fareham.

The boy was hit by a black Hyundai Getz, driven by an elderly couple in their seventies. The time of the incident coincides with peoples’ returns from a night out in the area.

The boy was left with life-threatening head injuries after the incident and is currently under care at Southampton General Hospital. Further details on his condition aren’t available at this time.

In the interests of the boy, who presumably is in no condition to give his account, police are continuing to hope for an eye witness to come forward with any information about the collision.
